Italian Tomato Sauce Recipe

Ingredients for Italian Tomato Sauce: Tomatoes 250g, Onion 60g, Garlic 30g, Basil 5g, Olive Oil 25ml, Water as needed, Salt as needed.
Method:


Step 1: Ingredients – Tomatoes 250 grams, Onion 60 grams, Garlic 30 grams, Basil 5 grams, Olive Oil 25 milliliters, Water as needed, Salt as needed.


Step 2: Rinse the tomatoes and briefly blanch them in boiling water.


Step 3: Rinse, chop, and mince the onion, garlic, and basil separately.


Step 4: Peel and finely chop the blanched tomatoes.


Step 5: Pour olive oil into a pan and heat it.


Step 6: Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.


Step 7: Add onion and sauté until fragrant.


Step 8: Add basil and stir-fry evenly.


Step 9: Add tomatoes and stir-fry evenly.


Step 10: Pour in an appropriate amount of water.


Step 11: Cover and cook until tomatoes are mashed.


Step 12: Uncover, add salt, and stir-fry evenly.


Step 13: Continue cooking until the sauce thickens, then turn off the heat.


Step 14: Allow to cool and transfer to a container for refrigeration.


Cooking Tips for Italian Tomato Sauce: Avoid using high heat during simmering to prevent burning. Basil can be substituted with other herbs. The prepared sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for several days but should not be kept for too long.
